Radiation:
Sunlight contains ultraviolet
radiation. Two types of waves that is harmful to our skin. UVA rays
(ultraviolet Radiation A) very harmful to our skin because it affects deeply
inside in our skin. It collapse underlying structure and damage collagen
tissue. Another one UVB rays (Ultraviolet radiation B) damage the outer layer
of our skin. In summer season we must protect our skin from UV rays. Those
people who are outside for their work use any one of sunscreen cream for sun
protection.
Sunscreen
cream types:
There are two types on sunscreen cream
physical sunscreen cream, chemical sunscreen cream. Physical sunscreen cream
protects our skin from both UVA and UVB rays but physical sunscreen creams are
very thick and expensive. Chemical sunscreen cream protects our skin only from
UVB rays. Both physical and chemical agents available in one sunscreen cream
are best for use. You must check your sunscreen contain both physical and
chemical agents.
SPF (Sun Protection Factor):
Another important one, you must check
in sunscreen cream is SPF because SPF decide the percentage of protection from
the sunlight. Various ranges of SPF in sunscreen creams are available in the
market. SPF 15 gives 93% protection from sunlight and UV rays. SPF20 can give
95% protection from sunlight and UV rays.SPF 30 can give 97% protection from
sunlight and UV rays. At the same time SPF50 can give 98% and SPF100 can give
99%, its double and triple of SPF30 but the protection level increase 1% and
2%, so you carefully decide you best sunscreen cream for face it save your
money.
How to use sunscreen cream:
Important
thing of using sunscreen cream is amount of using cream. If you are not using adequate amount then
it’s no use in sunscreen cream. You must apply at least one finger strips of
cream for face. Apply sunscreen cream half an hour before you go outside. Once
a sunscreen cream applied it works only for 3 hours. After 3 hours you should
wash your face to remove cream and again apply sunscreen cream.
